The illustrious TP members have decided that the Party needed certain Bills, in order to get its ideals actually put into practice for the good of our so loved nation, Great Petronia and the whole of its population.
In these bills, the TP expresses its concern about the matters that most affect the nation and the citizens at present, such as free but still safe trade and the relationship between this open market and the climate change.
Here are our legislations, which we hope will get support and soon come to force for the good of Great Petronia and the world in general, in a society that is each day more and more global.
Bill 1.-Coolness Bill.
Whereas: There is a growing fear that the world climate is being altered by man-made pollutants
Whereas: A thriving economy is key to a successful nation and the general welfare of its people
Whereas: Extreme change in economic policy can lead to economic recession
Whereas: The United Kingdom and Canada have adopted NAO systems and have thence prospered in the fields of corporate innovation and small business emergence
Be it Resolved: Great Petronia adopts a NAO based economic stimulus bill. This bill would allow emerging or policy-changing companies in the field of alternate fuel or “green” production a 25% tax break for a period of 5 years. This period of reduced taxes would then be followed by a 5 year period of no substantial tax breaks (within the “green” and alternative fuel fields). The intent would then be that the 5 years of tax breaks would create new jobs as well as ”green” companies. The tax in the second 5 years would then more than make up for the potential losses during the first 5 years, since there would be more jobs. This bill would then be up for renewal at the end of the each 10 year period. Hopefully, this cycle will create an ascending step pyramid in financial and environmental progression charts.
Bill 2.- Safe Trade Bill.
- Whereas: Political and militant factions have purchased components of potential weapons in order to then build their own weapons
- Whereas: Nations’ protectionist policies have hindered progress in bilateral trade and multinational commerce
- Whereas: The security of a nation and its people is the first and foremost priority of a government
Be it Resolved: To ensure international security and peace, promote and expand our nation’s trade without harming any other nations or organizations, and to be involved only in explicitly safe trade relations, the TP will promote international trade with regards to global security via the following. Those Petronian exporters who intend to sell items such as advanced computer hardware or software, aircrafts, machine tools, dangerous chemicals or hydraulic fluids, have the responsibility to ensure security, being confident that the customers will not use the items for the production of war or any kind of violent reactions. Companies may be regulated in this area. If it is deemed that the products being sold are of unsafe characteristics, or that the consumer is of mind to do harm to person or property, the company will require a license to export the goods. However, this bill will also extend an invitation to protectionist nations to expand trade and capital. As such, this bill will lighten formal requirements to open up trade with protectionist and currently non-participant countries by limiting tariffs and custom taxes.
